Rule 9: let and net on the serve

What is a net on the padel serve?
The service is a “net” if:
- a) The ball touches the net or the posts and then lands in the receiver’s service area, provided it does not touch the metal mesh before the second bounce
- b) The ball, after touching the net or the posts, strikes any opponent or article they are carrying
What is a let on the padel serve?
The service is replayed (a “let”) if:
- a) It is played when the receiver is not ready (as per Rule 6, point 10)
How many serves are replayed after a let or a net?
- If the let or net occurs on the first service: the whole point is replayed and the server is entitled to two services.
- If the net or let occurs on the second service: only the second service is replayed.
