Rule 10: replaying a point (let)

When is a point replayed in padel?

A point in play is a “let” (it is replayed) if:

• a) The ball breaks during play
• b) Any object foreign to the match enters the space of the court
• c) There is any interruption of play caused by unforeseen situations beyond the players’ control
• d) The ball in play strikes an object lying on the floor of the opposing half (for example, another ball) and that object moves in a way that could interfere with the rally or be dangerous to the players

How is a let claimed?

• e) A player who believes a let has occurred must inform the Referee immediately and not let the point continue. If they allow it to continue, they lose the right to claim it afterwards.
• f) Once a let has been claimed, it is for the referee to decide whether it is warranted. If it is not, the player who claimed it loses the point.
