The padel ball

Balls for use in official FIP competitions shall be those approved by the FIP.

Official padel ball specifications

  1. The ball must be a rubber sphere with a uniform outer surface, white, yellow or any other colour offering appropriate contrast with the playing surface.

    • Diameter: between 6.35 and 6.77 cm
    • Weight: between 56.0 and 59.4 grams
  2. A new ball must bounce between 135 and 145 cm when dropped onto a hard surface from a height of 2.54 metres.

  3. The ball must have an internal pressure of between 4.6 kg and 5.2 kg per 2.54 square cm.

  4. When playing more than 1000 metres above sea level, special balls may be used whose bounce must be greater than 121.92 cm and less than 135 cm.
